A Jewish surfer, born on Galveston Island, who becomes a doctor and marries a Mexican-Indian girl, who sings Bach arias. 25 years they  live in a camper criss-crossing the United States in search of the perfect wave.  Eleven people, 8 sons (7 in a row) and one daughter. Winters, the father doctors migratory workers, native American and urban needy; Summers the whole family ran a Surf Camp for children in California.He taught her about Surfing and Health, and she
taught him about Beans and Bach. The Doc has since written three books on medical topics most important to him: Health, Asthma, and Sex. Now after almost 50 years of marriage the Doctor and his wife live in Honolulu, Hawaii. He still surfs at Waikiki. She watches him and swims in the blue water. They now have 17 grandchildren.
